A top-of-the-table clash takes place in Paisley, as St Mirren and St Johnstone - who were both victorious on the opening weekend against Falkirk and Kilmarnock respectively - go toe-to-toe on Saturday afternoon.

St Mirren lost their opening game of the 2025/26 season 1-0 at Celtic Park, avoiding defeat on the opening day of back-to-back Scottish Premiership campaigns for the first time since 2013/14 and 2014/15, as the Buddies bounced back by beating the Bairns with a 2-0 victory in Falkirk. Now in front of their own fans, Saints will hope to make it two wins from two to start this season.

St Johnstone were winless on the opening day of their previous seven Scottish Premiership seasons (D2 L5) since beating Kilmarnock in 2017/18, before they repeated the feat against Killie to kickstart the 2026/27 campaign. A crazy game kicked off the campaign for the reigning Scottish Championship champions, who'll hope to claim back-to-back wins upon their return to the top tier.

Despite St Mirren keeping a clean sheet on the opening weekend, St Johnstone showed their attacking intent last time out and there may be no separating the Saints sides on Saturday afternoon.
